I was at work oh. doing my thing, like talking with some pple with problems. Then, this lady, who had been staring at me, asked 'where are you from?'. well, from my accent, i was not surprised and proudly told her I was Nigerian. Then, she was like, 'I knew, I know a lot of NIgerians, they are my friends. I even dated a Nigerian guy. He was very nice'. I was just listening thinking of what demanded all that. maybe she thought it was questioning look and she went on again to say, 'He was very nice. You guys are nice.' Then, i was like thank God oh.ALL BLACKS ARE THE SAME
I went to the cafeteria to get food. surprisingly, i saw dodo. correct ones for that matter. First time mehn, i kwikly ordered for some. So, the latino lady serving so my unique interest in them and goes like 'Where are these [plantains] from?'. I was thinking should i say the market abi was i the one that got them. she explained 'I mean, what part of the Caribbeans are they from?' I told her I didnt know. she asked 'Aren't you Caribbean?'. i was vexing cos she dint even give me the dodo and was questioning. 'I am not Caribbean,' I answered and added 'duh' in my mind. Simply, because I had an accent meant I was automatically caribbean and africans are very few in my school. I got my dodo and left jo.

so imagine three black girls, jay, lee and naijashawty doing some group homework.
jay's alarm on her fone goes off.
jay - 'hmmn' and puts off the alarm
lee - 'wtf! i dint take my birthcontrol pill today'
jay - 'better double that up tomoro'
naijashawty who doesn't partake in the banging business smiles
lee looked kinda worried
jay - 'lee, u have a boo? i just take mine for cramps.'
lee- 'umm, no. but i am an 18yr old woman.'
jay- 'wow, lee, i cant look at u the same anymore.'
lee- 'well, i am a sexual being'
then we all cracked up.
the funny thing dere is dat, jay actually hooked up with a football recruit, ie a guy to be a freshman this fall. that was just last wk at a party and jay claims to have a LD bf. i just smiled and i dinno pills could lessen cramps

yep, pills do help with cramps or irregular flow. but that cafeteria chic na wa o! staring lucious dodo in the face and she chooses that time to converse? lol
Really? Birth control pills help with cramps? Never heard of that one.
And there I was thinking plantains were a "Nigerian" thing! imagine keeping you waiting when all you want to do is pounce on the dodos. lol!

well, plantains are pretty common in the west indies.
My ob/gyn recommended birth control for painful periods but i declined cos birth control pills have their own side effects. It makes u have lighter periods hence less pain.

Iknow someone who takes b.c. pills for her periods. They are horrible otherwise and she might just bleed every single day of her life if she doesn't.

Ahhh, u should have seen me the day I saw dodo in a chinese buffet place. Hmmm... That was all I ate that day, with meat of course. :D
